Another face to face encounter (Ukitake)

First topic message reminder :

Slowly, Karei walks around the corner, back to the carp pond she'd last seen Ukitake at. She shifts her left arm in the sling it's placed in, her shoulder is covered in bandages and she curses under her breath and she tries to scratch her arm.
"Stupid hollow, I should've killed that one first."
She mutters to herself and stops along side the pond, looking out over the water with a slight blush to her face.

Ukitake slightly laughed that she was still blushing but then he stopped. He looked back up at the sky. The sun had just set over the mountians in the horizion.

"Time sure does fly doesn't it?"
She says as she tucks her head into the crook of his neck. The stars started coming out and she smiles, remembering the day they first met.

" Yes it does. " Ukitake said. He smiled as lookd up at the stars. This was great.

( very short I know. )

"It's peaceful out tonight isn't it?"
She closes her eyes again, a smile on her face. This was the best day of her entire life, she'd never been so happy before, it felt good.

" Yes it is. " Ukitake smiled. He slowly rubbed her shoulder. He smiled as he stared at her then at the stars. He was having the best day of his life.

She smiles even more, feeling truly happy for the first time in a long time.
"I love the sky at night, it's just so peaceful."

" I know It is. " Ukitake said he smiled alittle bit. He liked this in fact it was his favorite moment in his life so far.

Karei closes her eyes and moves a bit closer to him, feeling a little tired. She tries her hardest to keep herself awake though, she didn't want to end this wonderful moment.

Ukitake gripped her tighter just alittle bit. He looked down at her. He could tell she was falling asleep. He was fine with that if she was tired she needed to sleep.

She almost nods off but reopens her eyes, trying to stay awake as long as possible. A smile spreads on her face as Ukitake holds her tighter.

Ukitake smiled down at her. " Its ok. " Ukitake said as he was smiling. He looked down at her eyes. He loved the sparkle the stars had but he didn't want to deprive her of sleep.

She smiles back and puts her head back on his shoulder, letting her eyes close. Soon she drifts off, for once not plauged by the nightmares she'd so constantly have.

Ukitake raised his head and watched the stars for a few moments. After about 30 minutes he rested his head down on hers. He then passed out himself.
