Ukitake Family estate feeding the carps. ( TAG: Karei )

Ukitake sat at his family estate. He sat out side near a man made lake filled with carps. He sat on both legs under him like the traditonal japanese style. He had small pieces of bread and coral that he was throughing into the Lake for the carps to eat. He was at peace currently. He often enjoyed this time to himself away from his other siblings.

Karei walks along towards the estate, hoping she could once again spend time with Ukitake. She was in luck, he was outside and she walked up towards him.
"I hope you don't mind a guest my friend."

Ukitake stood up. He looked over towards Karei " No I don't mind at all. " He said with a gentle smile on his face. He waved his hands motioning her to come over towards the lake with him.

Smiling she walks over next to him, looking over the pond.
"How many fish are in here?"
She watches the multicolored fish swim around in the water and smiles. It was always calming to her ot watch water life move around, and it facsinated her how they did it without any limbs or something of that sort.

" Theres a good amount in here " Ukitake sat back down moving his Haori out from under him. He then picked up some of the bread and coral and held out his hand as to tell her take some.

Sitting next to him she takes the bread and coral from him and sets it on the ground enxt to her. Breaking off a peice of bread she tosses it into the water, laughing softly as a few fish tried to fight over it.
"I've always found marine life so facinating, how they live and move without limbs is just so interesting."
She tosses a piece of coral into the water.

I have never really thought of that , it is a good point. " Ukitake told her as he tossed a small piece of bread into the lake. He looked down at the fish and saw them going for the food he smiled alittle bit at it.

"Have you ever been to the ocean?"
She askes him, tossing another peice of coral into the water. After a moment she leans over and places her finger on the surface of the water, tracing circles and causing ripples on the still surface.

" No i wish to one day though. " Ukitake told her. He looked over as he saw the ripples travel throughout the lake. It was unexpected.

"I once went there on a scouting trip to the world of the living. Once you enter the water, it's like you've stepped into another demension. It's wonderful, yet terrifying at the same time. It fills you with a sense of wonder, yet fear because you feel you're ont the top of the food chain anymore."
She sits back up just as a few fish come over to investigate the sudden movemtn of the water surface, making her laugh.

" That sounds nice , I will have to chck that out one day. Ukitake wondered what that feeling was like. His eyes were following the fish as the swarmed over to where her fingers were.

"You should, the ocean is a lot of fun in the world of the living."
She watches the fish swim around and smiles, feeling at peace and perfetcly happy.

" Ill have to check that out sometime. " Ukitake said as he looked up towards her. He was legitatmetaly interested in it. It sounded great.

She look sover and smiles at him softly before turning back to the pond.
"This is a very peaceful place, I might have to come around here more often. If you don't mind that, that is."
She says tossing a few more peice of bread into he water.

" Not at all , not at all , come around anytime you like. " Ukitake said. He meant it he enjoyed her company for some reason. " So are you going already? " Ukitake asked her..

"Not yet, I want to stay here for a while longer. I enjoy having a friend wtih whom I can have conversations with and just enjoy the peace fo palces like this with."
She break off another peice of coral, but this time she hands it down to a fish and laughs softly as it takes it from her.

" Oh I was just wondering due to you turning around and the question you asked. " Ukitake smiled slightly at the thought that. That would have been way too short.

"Oh, well you'll have to put up with me for a little while longer."
She giggles softly, obviously being sarcastic. She liked being around Ukitake, he and she seemed a lot alike.
(sorry, had to see the doctor around th etime you got on and run a bunch of other errands ><)

" Oh thats good then. Ukitake smiled. He was still sitting down. " So you dont like to sit or something? " Ukitake asked her. He through alittle more food into the water. Looking down at his hand. Ukitake coughs alittle bit. His sickness was workjing now. MAbey it was just a cough ukitake thought. He seemed good for now.

"Hm? Oh no, I like to sit, why?"
She hears him cough and remembers hearing of his illness and asks him softly
"Are you alright? I've heard of your illness, is it acting up again?"
She was slightly worried, in the pit of her heart she worried deeply for him, she wasn't exactly sure why other then he was her closest friend.

Its just that you have been standing most of this time , and im fine thanks for asking though I appreaciate it. " Ukitake mentioned with a smile on his face. He looked down he was out of food. Oh well he figured he could just sit there and talk with Karei for a bit.

She sits next to him, looking at him with deep concern.
"For your sake I hope you're right. You see, after I lost my best friend to a hollow I tend to worry to much about my friends. I hate seeing people I care about in pain, I want to do something, but most of the time I just can't..."
She trails off, trying her very hardest not to cry in front of him.

Ukitake rises up and walks towards her. " Dont worry Im not going anywhere anytime soon I have had this for a long time , Its not deadly or contaugious it just won't go away , and , and Im very sorry for your friend. " Ukitake told her.

"thank you my friend, you don't know what it was like, to watch the friend you've had since day one being killed and eaten right in fornt of you. I still have vivid nightmares, I wake up screaming almost every other night."
She hugs herself, finding it harder and harder to hold back the seering tears forming in her eyes.

Ukitake walked up behind her. " Beilive me I do , but it will be aliright Im not going anywhere soon and i hope neither are you. " Ukitake said He spoke the truth. He was one of the first Shinigami to graduate the Academy along with Shunshi and Unohana. He saw many friends fall from back then , people he met along the way like Kaien shiba. He still finds friends though rather its Byakuya or Rukai or his new friend Karei. It was also true he hoped she would'nt go anywhere soon.
